Urban Futuristics - Leggings by James Lillis

My latest creation, unveiled to you first, loyal blog reader. I call them: Urban Futuristics. 

They are unreal! The fabric is one of the best I have worked with, super stretchy, but with an amazing foil. When I was making these I had in mind some crazy futuristic party. (By the way, these are not photoshopped, they really look this way!)

Yes please, I'll take a pair... :)

I currently have limited stock (about 5), but I will be getting more. So early shoppers will get them quicker. :)

Jean Paul Gaultier: Two Tones, Fishnets and Mud Fights

I'm a little slow off the mark with this one (hey - give me a break, I'm slaving over a hot sewing machine all day!). So thanks to (the very talented) Carl Starling for the tip.

I think Jean Paul Gaultier is awesome. Some of the things that he has done with leggings are really fantastic, not just pushing things creatively, but also really pushing the technology to the limit i.e. how the hell do you print that on sheer pantyhose?!

Some highlights from JPG Fall RTW:

A couple of points:

- Do those leather leggings with the cut outs look familiar? That's all I'm sayin'...

- Notice the joins between the opaque and sheer sections on some of these isn't as clean as it could be. I guess it's a new technology.

... and last of all

I AM SO GOING TO ATTEMPT TO DO MY OWN VERSION OF THESE!!!

Video Blog Post #1 Black Shredded Wet-Look Tights!

Okay, it struck me that doing a quick video of my tights might be a better idea than taking pictures, just because it would allow me to show you all the interesting little bits and pieces about each piece.

Who would have thought you could make spotty cut-out bike pants work with a tutu?! Being a Russian (super?)model helps...
